Sequence of Events: Two event competition: Max Bench and Deadlift. Each contestant will have 3 record attempts to record their highest weight. Once you start with a weight, you cannot go down in weight. It is suggested to attempt a weight you are comfortable with prior to adding more weight. Between attempts the contestant wait until the rest of the competitors complete their lift until their next attempt. There will be two squat racks available to warm-up on all three lifts prior and during events.

Commands:

Bench- Contestant will un-rack weight (with spotter) and will lower weight to chest at own pace. Once weight is on the contestants chest, the judge will give the command “Press”. Contestant will then press the weight with arms fully extended and will rack when judge gives the command “RACK”. The head nor buttocks must not leave the bench or the repetition will not count.

Deadlift- Contestant will assume the deadlifting position and will record their attempt. Once contestant has lifted the weight and is in the fully extended position the judge will give the command “DOWN”. The contestant will control the weight to the ground (NOT DROP) and that will count as a record attempt.
